Memories
a poem | ~2007
The sweet waters of life
Flowing through me
An endless wave
Carrying me through
The ice of my pain
Chilling me completely
But I never stop the sun
It melts away my fears
So much to be thankful for
And yet so little is given
The control of myself
Yet it is sweetly taken
Within the moment, I live
Each memory that is lost
I find time to hide
To ponder the surrender
Never losing the power
And not doubting its magic
But within the finding
It proves to be backwards
Forward again through time
The moments melt away
They form a clearer picture
For me to gaze at today
